Referral Partners

Red sign with white text that reads, 'Community is Strong.' The sign is mounted on a building, with a small caption at the bottom that says, 'Be strong. Let's look out for one another.'

In partnership, we can more easily connect with families who want doula services but may not be able to afford them.

We provide our community partners with free informational handouts, a dedicated referral form, and a community partners’ guide to assist clients in registering for doula services.

Our partners include:

  • Social Service Organizations

  • Women & Children’s Healthcare Providers

  • Hospitals & Clinics

  • Adoption Services

  • Government Agencies

  • State Assistance Programs

  • Religious Organizations

Pro Bono Client Criteria

  • Will otherwise be alone in labor

  • Has intellectual or developmental disabilities

  • History of trauma or substance abuse

  • Currently unhoused

  • Immigrant, asylum seeker, or migrant

Community Doulas accepts a limited number of pro bono clients who meet the program criteria through direct provider referral only.

  • Availability by text/phone

  • On-call from 38 weeks until birth

  • Continuous labor support

  • Immediate postpartum support

  • Postpartum follow-up visit (birth-only clients)

Postpartum Doula Support Includes:

  • 1 prenatal visit (for postpartum-only clients)

  • 3 postpartum visits, 4 hours each, in the client’s location

  • Availability by text/phone

Please be aware that finding the right doula match can take time. While we strive to connect every client with a suitable doula, submitting a request close to your client’s due date may limit our ability to secure a match. In some cases, we may not be able to make a match if there is insufficient notice. For the best chance of being matched with a doula, we recommend reaching out as early in pregnancy as possible.

We are unable to match clients with estimated due dates less than one month away.

We provide printed materials to help prospective parents understand the services doulas offer and how to access them.

Please complete the form to request materials for your office. Materials are sent via flat-rate mail and typically arrive within 7–10 business days.
